NovaTrack Overview

NovaTrack - Dispatching, Tracking, Tracing, Ordering, Communication and on-Board Navigation.

NovaTrack is a tracking and communication system used by road or assistance centers managing and dispatching vehicles. NovaTrack communicates bi-directionally over SMS and GPRS. The position messages, mission orders and the traffic messages are stored within a statistical database in order to be passed over to an ERP system. Over specific interfaces, NovaTrack can be integrated into an existing infrastructure at the client's site.

NovaTrack is available as an ASP-service as well. NovaTrack can be used via remote access over a terminal-service. The advantage of the ASP-service solution is its attractive pricing due to lower investment costs.

There is a range of available mobile devices to be used with NovaTrack such as simple black boxes, pocket-PCs and PDAs with touchscreen and navigation systems. Depending on the need, each customer can select its ideal mobile device. 

NovaTrack is a Communication- and Tracking System for vehicles, persons, containers, railways, ships and other fixed or mobile objects. NovaTrack communicates bi-directionally with those objects by GSM/SMS or GPRS. The incoming messages are stored in the Control Centre on a database, analysed and displayed on-screen with raster and vector maps. Depending on the requirements, the customer has a choice of different mobile units, such as Palmtop-Pc’s (Windows CE) with display and various options (GPS, printer, bar code reader, etc.), or different GPS integrated devices including hand-held GPS mobile phones and combined Navigation/Tracking units. With an operational GPS, NovaTrack can find the position, speed, direction, distances driven, standstill- and driving times (and lots more!) of the vehicle. The driver has an alarm button and if needed, the engine can be stopped remotely by the Control Centre.

Open architecture

NovaTrack is based on powerful open technologies. Desktop, Web-based or call-centre integrated solutions are available to meet the customer organisation's needs. Various maps in raster and vector-format can be used with practically no limitations.

Database

NovaTrack adapts to the client's standards. Versions are available at choice to run with Oracle or. SQLServer. This allows for smooth integration with an existing Command & Control system.

Geo-Coding and distance Remote Connection 

Geo-coding and distance Remote connection to the Maponair® geographic server brings to the user an online geo-coding service and accurate distance and travel time calculations. The Control Centre NovaTrack runs on Windows XP and communicates with his own Communication Server over GSM/SMS or GPRS with all it's mobile objects. Communication GPRS and UMTS offers the fastest and most cost effective solution. The User use an ADSL connection to use the application.

Best positioned

The operator can use NovaTrack to find the closest free agent for an intervention. Agent status is always available (free, busy, on site, etc.). Mission information exchange Mission information is sent online to the Agent by NovaTrack. The Agent can also fill in a report at the end of his mission and send it to the Control Centre.

Tracing

All received Data from the tracked vehicles or persons is stored in the database, for analysis and display.

Navigation

If onboard navigation is used, NovaTrack will automatically send the destination coordinates to the navigation unit.
