Maponair 6 Flash-Client

We just finalized a new flash-client for our coming technology platform Maponair 6. It´s still in a Beta-Phase and we´re actually fixing the last bugs. What do you think about it? Just drop us some comments!

Whats new about it? 

- The complete technology underlying is based on a new platform which makes it even more performant

- The GUI-design has been renewed. there are different versions. All GUI element are "widgets", customers will be able to integrate their own widgets and may also have control about the functionalities and which widgets are available

- Your now able to integrate your own background layers. In this example you can find some polygons just as an example. You could also integrate other maps or different information.

- The client might be completely controlled by the surrounding container / website. Two-way communication will be possible.

- sophisticated functionalities like drawing and so on will be available and presented here soon

This demo includes three different layers: Maps, Orthofotos and polygons, which can be used to visualize additional information.

Although a flash client with a GUI is loaded, no map images are displayed. Tried to zoom and move the map, but still no images - both in IE and Firefox.

Tolles Kartenmaterial und schnelle Ladezeiten, das gefällt! Aus Usabilitysicht aber ein paar Bemerkungen: - Beim Klick aufs Fotosymbol, bzw. Kartensymbol springt die Markierung gleich ins Extreme auf diese Seite, welche angeklickt wurde. Dies ist bei der Zoomskala besser gelöst, da geht es Schrittweise zum oder -. - Bei der Skala / - kann ich zwar durch Klicken des Symbols in die jeweilige nächste Zoomstufe springen, was mir sehr gut passt. Aber wenn ich mit der Maus den Schiebregler verschiebe, dann kann ich auf Zwischenstufen schieben, die dann keine Wirkung auf der Karte zeigen. Lösung: auch mit der Mausbewegung sollte der Schieberegler direkt auf die nächste Stufe springen. Die so detaillierte Abstufung ist nicht notwendig und ich weiss als Nutzer nicht warum das minimale Verschieben keine Wirkung zeigte. - Das Verschieben des kleinen blauen Kästchens unten links ist gar nicht benutzerfreundlich. Die Karte dort unten müsste "rollen" und das Kästchen, z.B. immer in der Mitte bleiben. Aber so wie jetzt ist es völlig nevvig, wenn ich z.B. von Bern nach Zürich schieben möchte. Die grosse Karte lädt parallel mit, bei schlechterer Internetverbindung würde ich wohl wahnsinnig. - Idee: Warum macht ihr im Fotomodus nicht eine Option, dass die Strassen eingeblendet werden können? Heute kann ich nicht die fotoechte Darstellung ansehen und schauen wie die Strasse heisst und mich orientieren. So, fertig mit (konstr.) Kritik, ist eine qualitativ hochwertige Anwendung. Weiter so!
