Hotel rooms just a click away – even when you are on the road

Cologne, Lausanne, 4 December 2008 (w&p) – The magic word for users of map-based services is dynamic content. Novasys, one of the leading providers of GIS technologies (geographic information systems) and HRS, Europe’s leading online hotel reservation portal, have agreed to strategically collaborate in this area. The agreed provision of dynamic hotel data goes beyond the usual traffic information, weather services and point-of-interest information such as sights or petrol stations. The aim of their collaboration is to guarantee direct access to HRS hotel listings via all Internet-based map services and telephone directories in future.

Not only can users of map-based Internet applications and telephone information services select the right offer from over 230,000 HRS hotels from home or while on the road by clicking on the hotel reservation symbol in the map view or by calling a telephone information service, they also have the facility of making an immediate booking. Furthermore, direct access to more than 1.3 million hotel evaluations by customers for customers is guaranteed – an ideal decision-making aide when choosing hotels.
