Belgacom and Novasys Renew Agreement

Belgacom, the leading telecom operator in Belgium, and Novasys, leading GIS supplier in Europe, renew their agreement for the marketing of the ' SMS Carto' service and extend their partnership through the implementation of mapping and routing on the websites www.1307.be and www.1207.be.

BRUSSELS and LAUSANNE - 1 February, 2008 - Belgacom, 1st telephone operator in Belgium and Belgian leader of the telephonic Directory Assistance with its brands 1207 and 1307, and NOVASYS, Swiss company, leader on the Geocentric Information Services for Internet and Mobile devices, announce the renewal of their cooperation agreement to run the 'SMS Carto' service in Belgium,.

As a reminder, the 'SMS Carto' service enables mobile users to receive on their mobile phone via 1307, a confirmation by a dynamic map of any required address. The service has been in full operation since more than one year. It receives a strong adhesion and its traffic is in regular growth. 'SMS Carto' is available for the customers of Proximus and Mobistar. It is currently in test phase at BASE.

BELGACOM and NOVASYS also announce the extension of their co-operation with the introduction of the dynamic mapping and routing on BELGACOM portals www.1307.be and www.1207.be. Thanks to this NOVASYS solution based on its Maponair® platform, Internet users will be able to locate the addresses on high quality cartographic maps while profiting from a European coverage including the calculation of optimized routes.

This new application is based on the new WEB Services of NOVASYS. Several extensions will be announced during next months.
