City Maps

Not only the paper maps you are used to

City maps are most handy to display a limited area with lots of detailed information. The vector data from Navteq and Tele-Atlas have been optimised by Novasys in order to obtain a readable city or town map. The quality of these maps is such that it becomes unnecessary to use raster maps. The map data  is also used within the standard Novasys products Maponair and NovaTrack as well as in specific client solutions.

Moreover, Novasys produces unique high quality raster maps for Europe based on the Navteq data. This allows clients to introduce this fast data format in their projects and profit from regularly updated Street data.

Did you know?

City maps, based on raster data, cannot be used alone for a dynamic mapping. The reason is that the raster map is only readable at a certain zoom-level. If you zoom in or out below or above that level, the map information cannot be read anymore. Novasys has found a way arround by optimising  the vector maps, to join the advantages of both, raster and vector!
