Novasys et Pointer Telocation annoncent leur partenariat et l'intégration des unités GPS Pointer de le suivi de véhicules avec la plateforme NovaTrack de Novasys pour le suivi de flottes et de personnes.

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND– 14 May, 2009

Novasys SA, the Swiss based Geocentric Information Solution supplier, and Pointer Telocation Ltd., a leading AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) solutions provider for fleet management, car and driver safety, public safety, roadside assistance, vehicle security and asset management, announced today their agreement on a strategic partnership to supply integrated solutions to the tracking and mobile computing market. A full demonstration is planned at the Transport Logistic Event in Munich, May 12 - 15, 2009.

The range of quality and high reliability Cellocator™ tracking units from Pointer are already integrated within the NovaTrack tracking software suite.

NovaTrack covers the needs of modern mobility organizations by offering numerous productivity functions such as vehicle tracking and tracing, geo-fencing, mobile communication with the vehicles and the drivers, fleet administration, driver privacy protection, report scheduler, multiple alarms, event management, etc. NovaTrack is modular, scalable and fully adaptable to support specific business needs.

Together with Pointer, Novasys introduces remote communication with handheld devices, by using the GPS tracking unit as a communication centre in the vehicle to exchange information with PDA’s and Navigation units. The tracking units’ integration with Garmin GPS navigation systems delivers high-end navigation and enhanced communication capabilities between fleet managers and their drivers. Using the capabilities of the tracking unit, a control center can send a text message to the vehicle with the integrated system relaying the message to the screen. The driver can then respond to the message in a variety of ways, allowing for two-way communication and eliminating the need for the use of a mobile phone.

The NovaTrack application and the Pointer units are distributed through Partners, including integrators and solution providers.
